Army Data Board

The CIO/G-6 established the Army Data Board as the directive body that identifies and addresses data interoperability issues and develops Army policy and positions that ensure data availability and standardization across the enterprise.

Board members serve as the Army data enterprise decision body. They develop coordinated Army enterprise positions on data strategy, standards, and execution; serve as the senior adjudication body for Army enterprise data issues; coordinate data sharing efforts across the Army enterprise; and serve as a certification/waiver approval authority for targeted standards. The Army Data Board submits reports to the Enterprise Guidance Board and Army CIO Executive Board as required, and advises the Enterprise Guidance Board.

Chaired by the Army Chief Data Officer, the board consists of the Senior Executive Board and Data Council. The Senior Executive Board is the final adjudication body and consists of the Data Stewards from each of the Army’s functional proponents. The Senior Executive Board is the primary coordination body for Army data issues and reviews all Army Data Council decisions.

The Army Data Council serves as the Army Data Board’s initial adjudication body. Its membership consists of a single Functional Data Manager from each of the Army’s capability areas and other bodies as determined by a functional proponent's Data Steward.
